GlutesIntermediateBodyweight, Dumbbell, KettlebellCompound

Step-by-step

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and your torso stable.
  2. Sweep one leg back and across (as if curtsying), behind your other leg.
  3. Bend both knees to lower your hips down; don't let your front knee travel past your toes.
  4. Drive through the heel of your front foot to stand up and return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat the movement with the other leg and maintain your balance.

Coaching tip

Cross your back leg behind you diagonally, feel your glute medius, and keep your balance.

Caution

Skip this move or ask a professional first if you have pain or an injury in: knee, hip, ankle. FitCi filters it out of your program automatically based on the injuries in your profile.
