How to do Wide Stance Barbell Squat

Step-by-step

  1. Take the bar on your traps and set your feet about 1.5 times shoulder width
  2. Turn your toes slightly out and brace your core
  3. Sit your hips back and down while pushing your knees out over your toes
  4. Descend until your thighs reach or pass parallel
  5. Drive through your heels and the outside of your feet to stand; squeeze your glutes at the top

The wide stance recruits the inner thighs and glutes; let your knees track over your toes.
