How to do Wall Sit

Step-by-step

  1. Rest your back fully against a flat wall.
  2. Place your feet about 50 cm out from the wall, shoulder-width apart.
  3. Slide down the wall until your knees are at 90 degrees and your thighs are parallel to the floor.
  4. Make sure your knees stay over your ankles.
  5. Hold this position for 20-60 seconds, increasing the time as you progress.
  6. When the time is up, slide back up the wall to stand.

Coaching tip

Keep your thighs parallel to the floor with your knees directly over your ankles; do not lean on your knees with your hands.
