How to do Goblet Squat

Step-by-step

  1. Hold a dumbbell or kettlebell in front of your chest with both hands.
  2. Set your feet shoulder-width apart with your toes turned slightly out.
  3. Keeping your chest up, lower your hips back and down.
  4. Descend deep enough for your elbows to touch the inside of your knees.
  5. Drive through your heels to stand back up to the starting position.

Coaching tip

Hold the weight at chest level and squat with an upright torso, lowering your elbows toward the inside of your knees.
