Step-by-step

  1. Hold dumbbells at your sides and set one foot forward, the other back
  2. Keep your torso upright and your core braced
  3. Lower your back knee straight down toward the floor
  4. Stop when your front knee reaches 90 degrees
  5. Drive through your front heel to rise; repeat without shifting your feet
