How to do Leverage Decline Chest Press

Step-by-step

  1. Adjust the seat so the handles line up with your lower chest
  2. Rest your back and head against the pad and pinch your shoulder blades together
  3. Press the handles forward without locking your elbows
  4. Squeeze your lower chest for one second at full extension
  5. Bring the weight back under control without letting the plates slam down

Coaching tip

Start with the handles at lower-chest level; feel your lower chest contracting as you press.
