How to do Lateral Box Jump

Step-by-step

  1. Stand sideways next to a sturdy plyo box
  2. Bend your knees into a quarter squat
  3. Swing your arms and jump sideways onto the box
  4. Land on both feet with knees bent, soft and quiet
  5. Step down under control and repeat, same side or alternating

Coaching tip

Start with a low box; lateral jumps demand more balance than forward jumps.
