How to do Inverted Row

Step-by-step

  1. Lie on your back under a waist-height bar and grip it shoulder-width apart.
  2. Push through your heels to make your body a straight line from head to feet.
  3. Brace your abs and squeeze your glutes to keep your body as one unit.
  4. Squeeze your shoulder blades together and rise by pulling your chest toward the bar.
  5. Lower to the starting position under control by extending your arms.

Coaching tip

Keep your body straight like a plank, pull your chest to the bar, and squeeze your shoulder blades.
