How to do Hip Flexion with Band

Step-by-step

  1. Anchor the band at a low point and loop it around one ankle
  2. Step forward with your back to the anchor
  3. Keep your torso tall and drive your knee up toward your chest
  4. Hold for one second once your thigh passes parallel
  5. Lower the leg under control; finish the reps, then switch sides

Coaching tip

The hip flexors are the neglected muscles of sprinting and knee health; work them with a tall torso.
