How to do Hanging Leg Raise

Step-by-step

  1. Hang freely from the bar with a shoulder-width grip.
  2. Keep your shoulders slightly active to prevent your body from swinging.
  3. Using your abs, raise your legs forward and up.
  4. Raise until your legs are parallel to the floor or higher.
  5. Lower your legs under control without swinging.

Coaching tip

Move under control to prevent swinging, and slightly round your lower back as you raise your legs.
