Step-by-step

  1. Set the bench to a 30-45 degree incline and lean back with the dumbbells
  2. Hold the dumbbells at shoulder level with palms facing each other
  3. Keep your chest proud and press the dumbbells up over your upper chest
  4. Squeeze briefly at the top without locking out your elbows
  5. Lower under control back to the starting depth

Coaching tip

Set the bench to a 30-45 degree incline; the neutral grip spares the shoulder joint while targeting the upper chest.
