Elevated Back Lunge start and end positionElevated Back Lunge start and end position

Step-by-step

  1. Stand on a 5-10 cm platform holding your weights
  2. Step backward off the platform with one foot
  3. Lower your back knee toward the floor as your front knee reaches 90 degrees
  4. Drive through your front heel to step back up onto the platform
  5. Finish all reps, then switch legs

Coaching tip

The platform adds extra depth; you should feel more stretch in your glutes than a normal lunge.
