How to do Dip

Step-by-step

  1. Grip the parallel bars and hold your body up with your arms locked, keeping your shoulders down and set.
  2. Lean your torso slightly forward to target the chest and bend your legs behind you.
  3. Bend your elbows under control to lower your body until your upper arms are parallel to the floor.
  4. Press back up using your chest and triceps and lock your arms out again.
  5. Continue with controlled reps without swinging.

Coaching tip

Do not go too deep; stop when your shoulders reach elbow level and press back up.
