How to do Captain's Chair Leg Raise

Step-by-step

  1. Settle into the captain's chair with your back against the pad.
  2. Place your forearms on the pads and support your torso.
  3. Keep your shoulders actively down to stabilize your lower back.
  4. Draw your knees up toward your chest under control.
  5. Lower your legs slowly to the starting position.

Coaching tip

Rest your back against the pad and slightly curl your hips as you raise your legs to prevent swinging.
