How to do Around The Worlds

Step-by-step

  1. Lie on your back on a flat bench holding dumbbells beside your hips with palms facing up
  2. Keep a slight bend in your elbows and maintain that angle throughout the movement
  3. Sweep the dumbbells in a wide arc parallel to the floor toward the space above your head
  4. Pause for a second at head level and feel the stretch in your chest
  5. Return along the same arc to the starting position under control

Coaching tip

Keep the dumbbells parallel to the floor through the half circle and don't let your shoulders shrug up.
