How to do Triceps Pushdown - V-Bar Attachment

Step-by-step

  1. Attach a V-bar to the high pulley and grip it from above
  2. Pin your elbows to your torso and lean slightly forward
  3. Push the bar down until your elbows fully lock
  4. Squeeze your triceps for one second at the bottom
  5. Release up under control with the elbows staying fixed

Coaching tip

The V-bar keeps the wrists at a semi-neutral angle; if a straight bar bothers your wrists, make this your first choice.
