How to do V-Bar Pullup

Step-by-step

  1. Grip a V-bar attachment or parallel handles with palms facing each other
  2. From a dead hang, pull your shoulder blades down
  3. Pull yourself up keeping your elbows close to your torso
  4. Once your chin passes the handles, squeeze your back for one second
  5. Lower under control until your arms are fully extended

Coaching tip

The neutral grip is the most shoulder-friendly pull-up variant; start here if your shoulders are sensitive.
