How to do Standing Cable Lift

Step-by-step

  1. Set the cable to the lowest position and stand sideways to the machine
  2. Grab the handle with both hands and take a low stance with knees bent
  3. Rotate your torso to carry the handle diagonally up over your opposite shoulder
  4. Let your eyes and chest follow the handle
  5. Return down along the same path under control; finish the reps, then switch sides

Coaching tip

The reverse of the woodchopper; power flows low-to-high through torso rotation, the arms just carry.
