How to do Scapular Pull-Up

Step-by-step

  1. Hang from a pull-up bar at shoulder width with your arms fully extended
  2. Without bending your elbows, pull your shoulder blades down and back; your body will rise a few centimeters
  3. Hold this position for one to two seconds
  4. Slowly release your shoulder blades back to the starting hang
  5. Repeat the movement smoothly and under control

Coaching tip

Never bend your elbows; the entire movement is just your shoulder blades gliding down and up.
