Step-by-step

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you and your knees slightly bent.
  2. Loop the middle of the band around the soles of your feet and grip the ends with both hands; the band should be taut at the start.
  3. Keep your back upright and your chest open.
  4. Pull your hands toward your abdomen, passing your elbows close to your body.
  5. Squeeze your shoulder blades for 1 second at the end, then slowly extend your arms while resisting the band.

Coaching tip

At the end of the pull, squeeze your shoulder blades together; let your elbows brush past your torso.
