How to do Kettlebell Deadlift

Step-by-step

  1. Place the kettlebell directly between your feet, set shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hinge by pushing your hips back and grip the handle with both hands; keep your back flat and chest facing forward.
  3. Pull your shoulders back and keep your arms straight.
  4. Push through your heels and drive your hips forward to stand up straight.
  5. Squeeze your glutes at the top; do not overarch your lower back.
  6. Push your hips back again to lower the kettlebell to the floor under control.

Coaching tip

Hinge by pushing your hips back, and keep your back flat and chest facing forward throughout the entire movement.
