How to do Front Plate Raise

Step-by-step

  1. Grip a plate at its sides with both hands and hold it in front of your thighs
  2. Stand tall, brace your core, and keep a slight bend in the elbows
  3. Raise the plate with straight arms up to eye level
  4. Hold at the top for one second
  5. Lower under control back to thigh level

Coaching tip

Grip the plate at the sides like a steering wheel; both hands working together reduces swinging.
