How to do Handstand Push-Up

Step-by-step

  1. Kick up into a handstand facing the wall; keep your hands shoulder-width, your feet against the wall, and your body straight.
  2. Brace your core and glutes to hold your body balanced in a single line.
  3. Bend your elbows under control to lower your head toward the floor.
  4. Pause as your head nears the floor, then press up until your arms are fully extended.
  5. Hold your balance at the top and lower back down under control for the next rep.

Coaching tip

Rest your heels against the wall, keep your body braced, and lower your head to the floor under control.
