Step-by-step

  1. Grip the bar at hip width with palms facing up
  2. Pin your elbows to your torso and stand tall
  3. Curl the bar toward your shoulders
  4. Squeeze for one second at the top
  5. Lower under control to full arm's length

Coaching tip

The close grip targets the outer (long) head of the biceps and builds the peak of the arm.
