How to do Chest-Supported Dumbbell Row

Step-by-step

  1. Set an incline bench to about 30-45 degrees and rest your chest against the pad.
  2. Grip a dumbbell in each hand, letting them hang down.
  3. Keep your chest on the support and hold your torso still.
  4. Pull the dumbbells up toward your hips by drawing your elbows back.
  5. Squeeze your shoulder blades together and lower them back to the start under control.

Coaching tip

Rest your chest against an incline bench, pull the dumbbells up, and protect your lower back.
