Step-by-step

  1. Grip the bar with a wide grip and hinge forward at the hips
  2. Keep your back flat and torso close to parallel with the floor
  3. Pull the bar to your upper chest with elbows flared wide
  4. Squeeze your rear delts for one second at the top
  5. Lower the bar under control

Coaching tip

Unlike a classic row, pull with your elbows flared wide; the target is the rear delts, not the lats.
