How to do Rocking Standing Calf Raise

Step-by-step

  1. Place the bar on your traps and stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart
  2. Rise onto the balls of your feet, lifting your heels as high as possible
  3. Squeeze for one second at the top, then lower the heels
  4. Shift your weight to your heels and lift your toes up
  5. Keep rocking between the two positions under control

Coaching tip

Combines a heel raise with a toe raise; it trains the tibialis along with the calf.
